Transforming Our Community Together

The Fairmont Community Development Partnership (FCDP) is a private, non-profit organization that has the dual objectives of preserving neighborhoods and providing affordable housing opportunities in Fairmont, West Virginia.

The FCDP’s primary service area is the Maple/Ogden/Jackson Addition Neighborhood. This rebuilding area is Fairmont’s fastest growing neighborhood and conveniently located just northeast of Fairmont’s Historic Downtown.

In a recent venture, the FCDP has also expanded its service area to include the Virginia/Gaston Avenue Neighborhood, just southwest of Fairmont's Historic Downtown.

The FCDP also contributes to the area’s community development by restoring vacant downtown and southside properties which have commercial potential.

The FCDP provides affordable housing sold to low to moderate income families and a combination of market rate and affordable apartment rentals

New and rehabilitated homes in the Maple/Ogden/Jackson Addition area are near the city-operated Windmill Park.
Homes and rental units in the Virginia/Gaston area are near West Fairmont Middle School.
Both neighborhoods are easily accessed via the new I-79 Gateway Connector.
As the re-building proceeds, attractive, high-quality rehabilitated homes and new construction homes are
replacing older, blighted homes.

Homebuyers from Fairmont, Morgantown, and Clarksburg are picking Fairmont as a great community with exceptional housing opportunities.
