Ad-Aware Installation Instructions
This is a general walk-through of the installation of Ad-Aware. If you need instructions for downloading files to your computer, please click here. Once Ad-Aware is downloaded to your computer, run the executable file and it will open the following window.
Press next to continue.
To install Ad-Aware you must first agree to their license agreement. Layman's PC Sales and Service recommends all users read all license agreements before installing any software. Agreeing to it and installing the software is legally the same as putting your signature on a contract.
Click the box to the left of 'I accept the license agreement' and click the 'Next' button to continue.
Here, advanced users can use the 'Browse' button to choose an alternate installation path for Ad-Aware to install in. For this article and for almost all systems, the default path is unchanged. Press 'Next' to continue.
Here you can choose whether Ad-Aware program icons will be made for all users, or just the user installing the program. Layman's PC Sales and Service recommends that users select 'Anyone who uses this computer'.
Click 'Next' to continue.
This screen is provided as a final confirmation of the installation. Press 'Next' to continue.
Once the installation is complete, you can select and deselect the option you want and click 'Finish'.
